Commercial Description:
A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Amber Ale is best consumed at 50 - 55° Fahrenheit.

One of my favorites and from a great little brewery. Perfect amount of hops and good aftertaste.

Poured a dark gold or maybe light copper color. The head was white, one-finger tall and offered up small bits of lacing. The aroma was light caramel malts and plenty of tart lemony citrus. Some light spicy hops and softer floral notes as well. The flavor was malt, caramel, lemon and some light spice. The mouthfeel was unremarkable. The finish was clean. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a deep golden/orange color with a 2+ finger bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel, fruits (banana?), and a slight note of hops. Flavor is much the same as aroma, with a pretty good dose of caramel sweetness, a little hoppy bitterness and some nutty notes. Nothing too exciting, but tasty and refreshing and easy to drink.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Clear, deep golden with a creamy, off-white head. Classical American aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Medium-bodied dominated by caramel and overripe fruit. Subdued bitterness. An easy drink. 040408

Bottle. Pour is the color of honey with an eggshell two finger head. Aroma is filled with piney hops, spices, and malt. Taste is very much the same and has a nice evenness. Mouthfeel, had a medium body, tang in the front, clean crisp ending. I enjoyed this beer very much and would love to drink more of them if I ever make it to Texas again.

Served on tap at Crucible in Houston (Greenspoint). Looks like Sam Adams, actually. Nice lacing on head. Smells of hops and spice. Not a bad beer at all.
