Commercial Description:
A beautiful, deep copper brown ale. It has a full, malty body with hints of chocolate, a touch of sweetness and a light hop flavor. A complex malt character is created by combining five different types of malts. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Brown Ale is best consumed at 45-50° Fahrenheit.

bottle, from trade with bu11zeye. Ok aroma, sweet. Nutty, grainy. Little peanut, almond. Little wheaty, caramel. Clean brownish orange color, ok head that faded quickly to a ring, then nothing. No lace. Bittersweet flavor. Like aroma, nutty malty, with a slight sour twang about it. Kind of citric, caramel. Medium body, lite creamy mouthfeel, sweet dryish finish. Ok, not very brown though. would of liked a litle more malt out of it as it seemed a bit weak and I didn’t think it came together well.

Amber color, not very dark for a brown ale. Malty aroma and flavor, hints of chocolate.

Hazy amber color. Flat beer, with poor aroma and some malt/caramel/sweetness taste. Drinkable but simple.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with OhioDad (thanks!). Poured a deep reddish / orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, chocolate, and nutty. Tastes of toasted malts, caramel, nuts, and cocoa. Body on the this side.

(12oz bottle) Lightly-hazed dark amber body topped by small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, candi sugar, some nut. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, some brown sugar, light nut. Watery light-medium body.

An brown/amber pour with a slight nose of malt. A flavor of fairly sweet roasted malt and s slight bitter finish. A good palate not too fizzy but just a tad watery. A good beer.

Thanks to decatursstevo for this one! The off-white head falls quickly on this amber colored brown ale. Light, sour malt aroma. The flavor is very light. A small malt presence and no hops. Thin body. Little here of interest.

Beer has a very sweet nutty, mocha aroma. There is little head to speak of, but the taste is very nice. Has a very smooth mouth feel, almost makes me want to chew it, but not a very thick beer at all. Goes down smooth and leaves a sweet aftertaste. Overall, a very good brew.
