Commercial Description:
A beautiful, deep copper brown ale. It has a full, malty body with hints of chocolate, a touch of sweetness and a light hop flavor. A complex malt character is created by combining five different types of malts. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Brown Ale is best consumed at 45-50° Fahrenheit.

Pours light amber with a small white head. The aroma is deep roast and a bit of must. The flavor is some roast but big chocolate and very nutty. Medium body and high carbonation.

Pours a clear light brown. Not much head. Light, light nutty aroma and some watered down chocolate and malt aromas. Flavor is very light. Not enough body. I get some caramel malt but I also get a hearty dose of peanut shells. Lacks the true "punch" a good brown should. Flavor isn’t bad, its just a bit weak.

Pours to a medium tan colored head. Has a sweet aorma to it. Great taste and goes down very smooth. More of a Bock in appearence and taste.

courteys of lowgear. Pours amber, off white head. Aroma had ample notes of dark fruits. Taste, caramel, malts, fruity hops, some nuts. Finishes with a light caramel/malt palate and notes of dark fruits.

I agree with the warming aspect of this beer. definitely drink it while its cold. I am not a browns fan, but I do like this beer. It pours as you would expect a brown too. deep brown color a low head on it. Its a fulling beer. I have drank a six pack of this in one sitting due to the great tastyness of this beer. I have notice that from batch to batch it can very somewhat. The flavors I got where nutty, chocolate, little roastedness all great aspects of this beer I do not buy this as much as the other saint arnolds. Beer was OK but didn’t seem to be a brown ale? was thinner and more carbonated than some of the other brown ales. not bad; but nothing great either...

Copper Color pour with a half finger, very light tan head. smells sweet and a bit nutty, not smelling hops. Taste is about the same, just a bit sweet up front, then get a little nut in the middle and in the finish. finishes a little dry. this is a very flavorful brown ale, had a nice body to it, with a medium mouthfeel. i have been pretty underwhelmed with most of the brown ales I have had latley but this one is very good, and pretty spot on for the style actually. Overall im very pleased with this one, and for a brown ale, I would definitely pick this up again as it is one of the better english browns I have had.
