Nose: Caramel, chocolate, milk, smells like chocolate chip cookies. Taste: is creamy and milk with some more chocolate and caramel and a bit of brown sugar. Not bad. unclemike (833), Ft. Not as brown as I would expect, it’s more of a light brown with some amber thrown in there. Aroma is caramel malt, somewhat sweet honey smelling. Taste is well balanced i must say. They use a killer yeast on this beer, nice fruity, sweet, and malty. There’s a clean hop finish too. I’m not the biggest brown fan, but this is pretty good.

The aroma is mildly nutty, along with a hint of sweetness (raisin?) The flavor is a bit sweet. Simple with raisiny notes. A touch of bready malt and not much bitterness to balance. Vague, but OK. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Pours with a quickly vanishing, off-white head that turns into a ring. Hazelnut hued body. Aroma of nuts, maple and toasted malts. Taste is sweet with maple, nuts, and some cardboard. Fizzy, force carbonated and dryish. Pastor (509), Maine, USA

Aromas of sweet malts and bread filled my nose
Flavors are the typical sweet malts that I expect in my brown ales not to much in the way of a bitter presence at all. I did pick up a slight metallic taste as well. Good medium mouthfeel with enough carbonation for your tongue
Drinkability is good on this brew. I can say I have enjoyed every brew from these guys that I have tried so far.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Pours a dark amber that has an bright orange tint when held up to the light - doesn’t look much like a brown ale really. The head is small and short-lived and leaves a ring with no lacing. It doesn’t smell much like a brown ale either with a dominant candy apple sweetness, very fruity with little dark malt or hop aroma at all. Super sweet taste as well with more caramel and toffee than the aroma suggests. There is a hint of hop bitterness in the finish as well, though not much. The mouthfeel is creamy and medium-bodied with good carbonation. This is a very unique take on a brown ale though it’s probably not one of my favorites. johnnysmoke (59), Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 14, 2008 Beer pours an almost ruby red brown color, crystal clear, with almost no head and lacing. The flavor was very sweet for a brown ale, almost bock-like in it. Some off flavor was also present. A very high level of carbonation left the tongue rather tingly. An okay beer, but hardly worth the effort of toting back from Texas to Delaware. Oh well.
