Commercial Description:
A beautiful, deep copper brown ale. It has a full, malty body with hints of chocolate, a touch of sweetness and a light hop flavor. A complex malt character is created by combining five different types of malts. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Brown Ale is best consumed at 45-50° Fahrenheit.

Pours a deep brown into the glass with a small off white head. The aroma makes me want to dive right into the beer with some sweet caramel and coffee notes. The flavor is very malty with a nice nutty taste. Its very easy on the palate and goes down quite smooth. My experience with brown ales is limited, but I would buy this again.

(Bottle) Pours light brown with a small tan head. Nice mix of malts, with some caramel and toffee. Slightly bitter as well. Overall more of a hop finish than I expected. A decent beer overall, but not too impressive.

12 oz. bottle via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a one finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Has a nutty, toasted malt aroma. Has a caramel malt flavor with light esters. Medium body. A decent Brown ale. Thanks Richard.

Bottle, nose of caramel, very light grassy hops; Slightly hazy brown with a medium beige head; flavor was caramel with very light hop bitterness, I liked their amber much better.

Very nice Brown Ale (reminded me a lot of the Indian Brown Ale from DogFish Head in Delaware). Great brown sugar aroma, nice amber-brown color, and a solid flavor with some nice complex malts. Overall, above average, and I would recommend this one (if you can find it -- a friend brought this one from Texas).

An excellent session beer - nothing to excitedly write home about, but tasty, smooth, and satisfying.
