I like this Christmas Ale.. 7% Alc. hidden well. Deep caramel pour with a light head. Smell the cherry, spices, and prunes. Great hearty flavor..Taste the MALTS!!!! Great winter beer for holiday parties.. Leaves almost a tarish feeling on palate. Makes you drink more.. Yes I like it...

Courtesy of kaggie97. Pours deep copper with wispy film for head. Fruit up front, prune/plum with cherry, some background spice, subdued. Flavor starts with all dark fruit, fades to peachy/apricot, and finishes with a slightly spicey malt sweetness. Oily/sticky mouthfeel. Very good beer, I wish I could score it higher.

Pours dark copper with a thin white head. Smells of apricots, cherries and raisins? Taste is fruity, but not as obvioud as the bouquet suggests. Mouthfeel and finish are definitely more lively than the other beers I’ve tried from these guys. Very nice.

Brewery, Pub Crawl and the bottle. Pours a deep brown-red color. Nose is of winter spices and prunes, perfect for Christmas. Tastes of apricots and that winter spice (nutmeg, cinnamon) with some great yeasty flavors. It doesn’t give the mouthy feel of a 7% brew, so it’s easy to drink several in a row...and then have to pay the consequences.

Brownish-redish color. Nice flavor. Nicely balance. Very malty indeed. A great winter warmer.

Doughy yeast character to the sweet malty flavour with dark pit fruits and warm Christmas spices in the nose. Clear copper coloured body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled, off white head that recedes to a lasting cover. Strong orange and apricot fruitiness with spiciness that is more subdued and integrated than the aroma suggests with doughy yeast character and moderate finishing bitterness that keeps it from becoming cloying. Dry medium body with lively carbonation that engages the tongue. Sampled at GABF 2005.

Decent beer enough I guess. Watery copper color, slight white head. Dies off. nose is very fruity with a slight chalkiness that is welcome but not too welcome. Jockstraps dance around my nose...hmmm. Flavors are the same, with a flatness that pervades after each sip. Not too appealing, more appaling than anything else. Ehhh
