Commercial Description:
This is a dark, slightly chocolatey weizenbock with an undercurrent of bananas and cloves. There is a slight spiciness from the hops and a balanced malt that hides the strength of the beer. It was brewed with Dark Wheat, Light Wheat, Chocolate Wheat, Pilsner, Munich, Special B and Chocolate malts and Northern Brewer hops. We used a traditional Bavarian hefeweizen yeast which gives the beer its distinctive clove and banana character. It is unfiltered. Enjoy at 45°F or warmer. We are curious to see how this beer will age.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown body with a full, foamy, khaki-colored head. Smell: Fairly fragrant chocolate-coated, toasty wheat maltiness with background notes of fresh-ground cloves and banana slices and coffee. Taste: Toasted breadcrusts dipped in semi-sweet chocolate and toffee. Medium sweetness. Touch of roast. Distant tangy wheatiness. Black current, black cherry, and banana fruitiness. Restrained earthy spiciness. Lightly lingering spice and fruit on the drying finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Drinkability: Hey, whaddya know, this stuff is pretty darn good and very drinkable. Recommended!

Bottle, shared generously by SoLan. Pours a murky brown with a small head. Nose of sweet indistinct fruits, a touch chocolate, caramel, malty, cloves phenols, bananas. Sweet malt, some chocolate, banana, light cherry hints, not much wheat element. Medium mouthfeel and smooth.

Bottle… Murky, dark lager with burnt orange highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. Malty, estery and phenolic, the aroma provides chocolate-dipped banana, clove and sassafras root. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor offers toasted nuts, milk-chocolate, caramel and sarsaparilla. Medium sweetness and low bitterness layered upon a mild whimper of acidity. Finishes lactic, lightly sweet and then dry. Thanks to SoLan for sharing the bottle!

near black pour with a small black head. Aroma has banana, chocolate, wheat, caramel. Flavor was banana, clove, chocolate, black cherry, and a bit of yeasty dust. Finishes rich, no sign of the abv.

Bottle provided by Solan. World class beer here, though we had a hell of a time figuring out what style it was. Pours dark dark brown with a tiny dark tan head. Pours like an stout or an imp stout. Nose was enticing, Chocolate, Cherry, and some banana. This beer bares little resemblence to a weizen bock which I guess is a bad thing in that its not true to the style but this is such an amazing unique beer it doesn’t really matter. The taste is hugely malty and supremely smooth with huge cherry notes and alot of chocolate and yeast. There is a slight banana note at the end which is all that ties it to the style. In a way it reminded me of an old ale. Rich with a full mouthfeel and wonderful complex notes, this is definitely at the top of my weizenbock list. Amazing.

This is damn good beer! Right in line with the best German Weizen Bocks. This one does it right with lots of spiciness and a wonderful dark fruit element. Brock should really do more along these lines because this rocks.

Pours a murky brown with a bubbly tan head. Aroma has a lot of clove with some chocolate banana coffee and a hint of some spice. Flavor of dark roasted malt , cloves, banana, chocolate covered raisins and a little yeast, and rye.A nice soft mouthfeel, long finish. Very enjoyable.
