Commercial Description:
This is a dark, slightly chocolatey weizenbock with an undercurrent of bananas and cloves. There is a slight spiciness from the hops and a balanced malt that hides the strength of the beer. It was brewed with Dark Wheat, Light Wheat, Chocolate Wheat, Pilsner, Munich, Special B and Chocolate malts and Northern Brewer hops. We used a traditional Bavarian hefeweizen yeast which gives the beer its distinctive clove and banana character. It is unfiltered. Enjoy at 45°F or warmer. We are curious to see how this beer will age.

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a deep cloudy brown color lager with a large medium brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of banana and deep caramel/toffee malt is very interesting. Taste is a very nice mix between a solid caramel and toffee malt backbone with a nice touch of banana ester. Balance between sweetness and ester is well mastered with a full body with limited filtration and no alcohol was discernable. One of the best beer form the Divine series.

(12oz bottle) Pours a dark amber-brown body with a spare beige head. Aroma of rye, toasted coconut, banana, clove, almonds, and vanilla. Flavor of roasted malt, rye, molasses, clove, raisins, chocolate, and brown sugar with moderate astringency.

Bottle from thickfreakness - thanks! This one has a nice dark brown color with a big sugary aroma that has some nice banana, citrus, and spice. Flavor is big and sugary with bananas, dark spices, and big roasted-burnt sugar. Everything starts solid, but dies out mid-palate and becomes very average. Decent W-Bock, but not "elite"

Draft at Ginger Man in Austin. Poured a very murky dark brown color with an orange tint. The head was khaki and left some lace on the glass. Smelled of brown sugar and nuts with banana and clove accents. There was also a whiff of bacon. Medium bodied with some delicate acidity/tartness. Dry wheat dominated up front and was accompanied by a bit of clove. Walnut and banana flavors also emerged. The banana came on particularly strong toward the end.

Bottle from maltomeal. Thanks Bill. Pours a hazy brown with a little tan lace and no head. Nose has notes of nail polish, alcohol, banana, clove, spices. A bit too much alcohol up front in the flavor, but this beer improves as it warms. Notes of chocolate, clove, light hops. Okay, but I wanted to like this more.

Smokey, tabacco bbq saucey Texas take on the style. A little lace is left after the head goesdon on a lightish looking body. You can smell and taste the smokey sauce, its quite drinkable and not done to extreme. Drying finish. Nice, though not (meant) to be bang on the style.

Bottle courtesy of rustychiles. Aroma was sweet and of wheats and variety of malts. Murky brown body color with tan head. Alcohol spicey bittering thought beer. Got some sugary sweetener in the mix along with some blended malted grains. Alcohol lingers along with sweetness on the palate. Good winter warmer.
