Dark brown in color. Nice aroma of roasted malts and light coffee. Taste is close to the nose... Roasted malts, light coffee and a little bitterness in the aftertaste to help keep it balanced. Average texture and carbonation level. Overall a very enjoyable beer. Thanks Josh for the hook-up! blklab2007 (971), Connecticut, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 26, 2009 I am too not an experienced weizenbock drinker. I will go off of the flavors and aromas I did receive.
The beer is pretty dark with a cascading head that did not last long. The nose is that of roasted chocolate covered bananas.
The smokey roast flavor was totally unexpected. It was a nice welcome. The chocolaty banana flavor is something that is noticeable but not a slap you in the face.
This beer does get a little complex as it warms up in the glass.
Props goes out to kerry from austin who’s recipe Saint arnold used after winning the BBBB Contest.

Flavors are raspeberry, chocolate, wheat and licorice. Carbonation is just right. Body is medium. A decent beer but unlike any Weizen Bock i have had. Don’t think it is within style. More like a scotch ale... Fuselly. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
