Commercial Description:
This is a dark, slightly chocolatey weizenbock with an undercurrent of bananas and cloves. There is a slight spiciness from the hops and a balanced malt that hides the strength of the beer. It was brewed with Dark Wheat, Light Wheat, Chocolate Wheat, Pilsner, Munich, Special B and Chocolate malts and Northern Brewer hops. We used a traditional Bavarian hefeweizen yeast which gives the beer its distinctive clove and banana character. It is unfiltered. Enjoy at 45°F or warmer. We are curious to see how this beer will age.

12 oz bottle via Kaggie 97, big thanka! Pours a near black with a small head. Flavors are raspeberry, chocolate, wheat and licorice. Carbonation is just right. Body is medium. A decent beer but unlike any Weizen Bock i have had. Don’t think it is within style. More like a scotch ale... Fuselly.

Bottle. Thanks to my Santa for the bottle. Poured a dark black brown body with thin head. Aroma is light vanilla, malt. Flavor is light vanilla, chocolate, sweet malt. Some heavy carbonation in the mouthfeel and some resemblance to tamarind in the taste. Odd aftertaste.

Big thanks to the postmaster general for this one. Chocolate, maybe a splash of coffee in the finish, some fruit in the finish, sweet malt. This beer was a bit of a let down.
