Commercial Description:
This is a dark, slightly chocolatey weizenbock with an undercurrent of bananas and cloves. There is a slight spiciness from the hops and a balanced malt that hides the strength of the beer. It was brewed with Dark Wheat, Light Wheat, Chocolate Wheat, Pilsner, Munich, Special B and Chocolate malts and Northern Brewer hops. We used a traditional Bavarian hefeweizen yeast which gives the beer its distinctive clove and banana character. It is unfiltered. Enjoy at 45°F or warmer. We are curious to see how this beer will age.

Dark brown pour. Aroma of spices, banana yeast, a bit bubblegummy even, and chocolate malt. Highly carbonated, the yeast and chocolate malts dominate here. Odd, but not terrible.

Bottle from Sean. Thanks. A very interesting beer to say the least. Pours out a dark brown color with a little tan head on it. The smell is very unique and it has a shit load of cloves in it. Some banana smells as well, but its pretty much dominated by cloves. Taste is smooth and rich, kind of chocolaty with plenty of carbonation. Interesting beer but something that is probably best consumed fresh. This didnt do a whole lot for me..

12 oz. bottle from SS July or lb4lb. Pours a slightly hazy brown color with a small beige head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, cocoa, molasses, and spices. The flavor is malty with a hint of chocolate. Bananas, caramel, clove, and alcohol round out the experience. I have not had many weizenbocks, but found this to be interesting and not really what I was expecting. Medium bodied, very drinkable.

Courtesy of Deniz, thanks! Pours a dark hazy brown with a thin tan head. Dark malt, smokey, some bananas. A little dusty, chocolate. Smooth creamy mouthfeelwith even small bubbles. smooth malty creamy chocolate. Sweet and estery. A little acidic. Dark malt to slightly roasted finish. A really very fun weizenbock! A style I find I like surprisingly often!

Pours very deep brown with a dense tannish head. The aroma has brown sugar, dried bananas, dense rich dark wheat, anise, cocoa and dark toffee. Thick smooth body with light gentle carbonation. The flavor starts with dark caramel, dark wheat, phenolic spice licorice and hints of banana. The finish is thinner with spice and some burnt maltiness, but it is still quite smooth. Very nice.

Bottle from KAggie97. Thanks man! Pour is murky brown with a thin tan head. Bananas, fig, raisin, lightly smoked. Lively flavor. Has some similarities with Aventinus. True to style and an enjoyable brew.

Bottle from Grumpybrewer. Pours a deep murky brown with a dark beige. Aroma of yeast, banana clove esters, and dark fruit. Medium bodied with rich malty mouthfeel. Flavors of plum, cherry, dark bread and chocolate countered by lots of clove phenols. Spicy finish with some very minor hints of alcohol. Decent, but this is no Aventinus.
