Jun 6, 2009 Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of alcohol as well as lighter notes of wood, sherry, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, wood, and roasted malt, as well light notes of soy sauce, leading to a dry and roasted finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Medium body, a little low in carbonation, a little nuts and overripe fruit. Some alcohol in the finish with a subdued bitterness. A fairly decent American Strong Ale, but nowhere near a Weizen Bock. 290509

May 29, 2009 From bottle, blind #18. Pours hazy dark brown with a huge off white head. Dry malty and sliht phenolic aroma. Dry phenolic, sweet and light yeast fruity flavoured. Phenolic finish, dry and slight fruity yeasty too.
