Feb 1, 2005 Updated: Feb 19, 2005Bottle at Chris’ brought by joet. Aroma is floral hops and a touch of fruit. Hops and flowers in the aroma, fairly balanced although a little dry. A nice example of an American IPA.

Feb 1, 2005 Bottled at The London/Joet Gathering Chez Chris_O. A light amber coloured beer with a hoppy peachy aroma. The beer itself does not taste as hoppy as expected but instead comes across with a bit of Belgian richness. It is fruity and very dry.

Jan 30, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with CaptainCougar, thanks Tom!) "Saint Arnold, Saint Arnold, Patron Saint of Beer." I’m Polish, so I’m particularly fond of polka music, and I love their polka more than their IPA. But to be fair, as IPAs go, I think this is above average. It has a moderate, bready maltiness, and the mildly bitter hops balances but does not overpower the delicate malt until late in the finish where the bitterness becomes more pronounced. The nose is more malty and bready than hoppy. Medium bodied with a nice balanced palate, somewhat crisp from the hops, but with enough malty sweetness for some roundness. Light amber in color and fairly cloudy with plenty of dark particles slowly settling to the bottom of the glass. Small, off-white head settles to a wide rim around the edge of the glass, and leaves a few wisps of lace on the glass. This beer is decent, but it’s even better if you’re listening to the Saint Arnold Polka! Na zdrowie!

Jan 21, 2005 Medium hazy orange, slight head that mostly faded away. Good aroma of pine and citrus, slight floral note. Just enough malt flavor (caramel mostly) to balance the hops, which tended towards pine and resin with a touch of earth. A good, textbook, IPA. Thanks Kawa!

Jan 21, 2005 Bottle: Poured amber with a small fluffy head. Aroma was sweet/malt with hops as well. There is also some citris as well. Malt taste followed strongly woth a bitter hop. Thepine snese sits inmy nose for awhile. There is more then adequte lacing. IPA’s are not my Fav., but this is enjoyable and well made with good balance. Thanks Duane!

Jan 8, 2005 Strong citrus (grapefruit/orange) hop nose with underlying caramel maltiness. Clear copper coloured body is topped by nice-sized but rapidly diminishing off-white head that laces beautifully. Strong malt base supports a fair bitterness with plenty of floral and citrus hop flavour. Very nicely balanced. Engaging carbonation is exciting on the tongue. Medium body. Bottle. Thanks, Kawa!

Jan 6, 2005 I found this suprisingly pleasent for an IPA (Not my favorite style) It has a nice hop bite, but almost had a strange sweetness to that bite, nice looking beer, with a cloudy reddish color, pretty solid beer
