Fruity malt aromas are most assertive with a bit of a floral hop bouquet. A bit more malt flavor than I’m used to from an IPA, but I think it’s well balanced; I would like to taste more hop flavor to accompany the bittering hops. Medium body, a good dry finish. Probably more of an APA than an IPA, but nothing to get worried about. MesandSim (5853), London, Greater London, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2008 A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to Ang. A very good looking beer. Clean amber, decent white head and damn good condition. Rather sweet in the aroma and not really enough hops for the style for me and the malt is good but has very little to support. Similar flavour but even sweeter. There are a few more hops here but they are struggling to make themselves stand out due to the sweetness. All that complaining aside, there is plenty to like about it. I just feel with some more bitterness it would great. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Draft at Ginger Man Austin. Poured a clear light orange color with a white head. The nose was hop dominated, predominantly citrus, with whiffs of pine and caramel. Light to medium bodied and dry with moderate lingering bitterness. I tasted some pine, dry toast, and a bit of white paper. So so IPA. Botnik (110), Carrollton, Texas, USA

Nice hops flavor, but less hoppy than typical IPAs. I like to tell my fellow Texans that this is my favorite of beers brewed in Texas. rajendra82 (704), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2008 This one came to me from mhewes, just like a couple of other Saint Arnold beers, The pour looked like a typical IPA, but slightly paler than the typical orange-amber, and displayed a good deal of chill haze. The smell was clean citric hops and a note of honey. The taste was a little less typical, as it was sweeter than I was anticipating. The hops were more or less in balance with the malts, so this tasted more like a slightly amped up APA, than a hop driven IPA. Nice and sticky in the mouth due to the residual sugars, and aftertaste was chalky. This was a very drinkable beer, but not a very memorable one. ratman197 (3224), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle received in trade with MaltoMeal. Beautiful amber, golden pour with a slight haze to it. Thin, receding white head. Huge floral hop nose. Fairly substantial palate. Beer has some body to it. Intense hop flavor without being overwhelmingly bitter. Nicely balanced with a malt backbone.
