12oz bottle thanks to KAggie97. Pours a nice orange amber with a very small head. Aromas of pine resin, citrus hops, floral hops, and a some caramel malt. Flavors are all hops, pine, resin and a citrus finish. Palate is medium bodied and low on carbonation.

Dec 23, 2009 Bottle. Orange/pine and toffee malt aroma. Amber color with small head. Sweet orange and barley malt followed by a strong grass/pine hops flavor. Bitter aftertaste. Nice IPA.

Dec 19, 2009 On tap at the new Brewery! Pours a nice darker amber with a good head. I like head. Wonderful hop aroma, with a decent hop/bitterness bite to it. Solid malt backbone. Overall this is a very nice, drinkable IPA.

Nov 28, 2009 Hand pumped cask conditioned barrel at the Gingerman in Austin, TX. Beautiful orange amber cascade settled to a hazy light copper under a creamy off-white head. Thick curtains of lacing. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Citrusy flavor with milk chocolate and lightly toasted malt. Velvetty rich texture and a smooth, mildly bitter finish. My first hand pumped cask conditioned IPA and hopfully not my last. A very pleasant surprise in the heart of Texas.

Nov 24, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Kaggie69: Pours a brilliant yet muddy shade of orange, like pumpkin from a can. The head settled in a very thin, not so full sheet above. Nose was of orange soda and sweet flowers. Flavors were of a powdery floral nature giving way to hints of jasmine and orange. Much more floral and powdery than citrusy and/or pine resin..the alcohol is sometimes peppery in the back of the throat. Has a bit of a stale/cardboard-like character to it, but it’s not overly distracting. Bitterness is surprisingly strong.

Nov 20, 2009 copper pour with a small white head , great hop aroma and taste. this is a solid IPA .This beer is named after ELISSA, a tall ship now moored in GalvestonSaint Arnold is donating a portion of the proceeds of this beer to the Galveston Historical District for preservation of this ship.

Nov 4, 2009 With thanks to Blutt59. Appearance: Light red/brown with a small off white head and a tiny amount of visible carbonation. Aroma: A nice floral bouquet at first then followed by an earthy, breadiness with spice and lemons. Interesting. Flavour: Spicy hops! Nice zesty feel on the tongue with a delicious grapefruitiness that seems to linger well into the finish. Lovely.

Oct 17, 2009 on tap at brewery. poured a nice amber with a white head. aroma was grapefruit, caramel, and a touch of spice. flavor was light grapefruit, earthy, and good spice. had a medium body. pretty good stuff.
