A kolsch-style ale. When you need a beer after mowing the lawn, don't drink one of the mass produced beers, reach for this "fancy" lawnmower beer.

12oz bottle from KAggie97; Nose is grainy, grassy, and caramel; hazy gold with a medium white head, nicely lacing the glass; flavor is wheaty graininess, with a hints of sour and bitter, and light caramel. Better than macros, drinkable!

This beer struck me as just sort of middle-of-the-road and unexciting. Not bad, but not especially commendable. Too hazy for the style (IMO, based on limited brewing expertise), comparable in taste than other Kolsch’s I’ve had. It pours a hazy dirty-yellow with a light BMC beer looking head which quickly dissipates. Aroma is Kolsch-like (as I understand it); with some grainy-ness and a bit of metallic (think copper) smell. Flavor is more cereal-y than metallic, but with enough copper-ness to make me think of it as "Kolsch-like" in flavor. Not bad, but nothing to seek out. After cutting the grass on a hot day, I might opt for something else.

Bottled. Pours a pale yellow with a medium head. Aroma is grassy. Taste is a little grainy w/a clean kolsch finish. I’m not sure why everybody else hates this one so much. I had a fresh one in houston and found it pretty good.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with bu11zeye (thanks!). Poured a lighter yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of grains, wet grass, and corn. Tastes of the same. Not my cup of tea.

Light golden color with a medium white head. Aroma has some assorted grains - corn , barley, oats. Flavor is somewhat of a grainy mess. May not be "macro", but it aint much better.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with a small white head. The aroma is malty with grass and citrus. The taste is a bit watery with a very grassy finish. This is a intersting kolsch, must try at least once.
