Commercial Description:
A kolsch-style ale. When you need a beer after mowing the lawn, don't drink one of the mass produced beers, reach for this "fancy" lawnmower beer.

A real Texas microbrew. Its light, refreshing, crisp. The lightest beer they make. Prefect summertime beer. If only everyone got the joke.

Appearance: Everso slightly hazy, yellow body with a small, white head. Smell: Soft pale malts in the nose. Noble hops smelling spicy and of dehydrated grasses. Faint fruitiness. And there’s a wheat note that gains in prominence as it warms. Taste: Light pale maltiness with, perhaps, a slight hint of tangy wheat. Mildly sweet. Light touch of fruit. Spicy Noble hops provide a mild, balancing dose of bitterness. Finishes dry and reasonably crisp, with a lingering creamy wheat hint. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: It’s crisp, clean, and quite drinkable. Though I could personally do with just a small bump in hop bitterness, I ultimately found it to be a quality Kölsch.

This beer is specifically for when you are hot and sweaty from mowing the lawn according brock. This pours a light yellow color. This is a crisp light airy kolsch style. The bottle claims texas kolsch. I think it hits the mark as a very good kolch style beer. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-09-2008 15:57:51

Nothing outstanding about this one...yellow with little head...smells malty with a little fruit...tastes crisp and malty...I think the Commercial description is perfect...good to refresh but not to invoke a lot of thought...which is exactly how it should be...

One cannot really appreciate this beer unless they've sat in the sticky, hot Houston sun in August. This beer is light and smooth with a slightly sweet flavor. Take this beer fishin'.

Sweet grainy malt aroma with some grassy hops. Slightly hazy golden blond with small white head that recedes to ring. Soft sweet malts with light fruitiness and a light balancing bitterness. Slightly puckering finish is followed by a peppery and toasted malt aftertaste. Light body is refreshing with moderate carbonation and a crisp, firm texture. That sure is something fancy! Bottle. Thanks, Kawa!
