GreatLibations (1265), Sasquatcho, Arizona, USA Jun 23, 2008 Pours a tall lasting head and lacing on a creamy yellow liquid. Aromas of toasted bread and citrus. Medium nectar with mellow residual effers. A malt forward brew with a decent bittering component leaving a malty sweetness on the finish. Thanks TB.
Pershing (82), Garland, Texas, USA Sep 4, 2008 Yellow with a faint haze. Small head that dissolves into nothing. Grainy, bitter taste. Finishes thin and bland. golubj (990), Redwood City, California, USA Sep 3, 2008 Bottle shared at the CA-GA cultural beer exchange hosted by alexanderj. Clear yellowish gold, with white head. Aroma is slightly sweet grain, earthy but not bitter, mostly floral hops. Some grassy yeast and pilsner / lightly bready malt also. alexanderj (1239), San Diego, California, USA Sep 1, 2008 Bottle; KieferUGA nailed in on the style. Poured a clear gold, lots of visible carbonation streams. Aroma was malty and bready with some hints of yeast and grass. Flavor was very bready and biscuity; some grass in the finish. I thought it was more of a pils when I had it, but it was still surprisingly good. punkeedo (378), San Antonio, Texas, USA Aug 27, 2008 2008 Bottle. Generally disappointing, I can understand why they call it a Lawnmower ale. It actually does smell like grass, due to the hops and citrus aroma combination. The flavor made me describe it as "swill," just because I was offended by the clashing palate of hops and malt liquorish flavor. Not worth drinking. ericandersnavy (114), denton, Texas, USA Aug 24, 2008 bottle from metzlers in denton tx. poured straw yellow with a slight haze and thin white head with some sediment. aroma had some floral and fruity notes although not very strong ones. flavor had some weak fruity notes as well. med-high carbonation. i believe i would have to drink many of these before i mowed the lawn.
