Very much roasted malt in the taste, nearly peanut-like, rich, but a bit one-sided. Well-bodied, little burning aftertaste. A remarkable interpretation of the style. I’m surprised by this.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2008 I realy like this their offering in the fall. It pours a foggy dark orange and has an off white head. The flavor is of caramel and a little (little) nutty flavor, and a known hop presence, which is always nice. Easy on the palate, this beer make the evenings go well. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a small, rough, off-white head. Very malty aroma, a little caramel and overripe fruit. Medium body with sweet caramel and some overripe fruit. Some hops in the finish. Pleasant alright but very far from a genuine Oktoberfest. 080408 KimJohansen (7136), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Orange fruity aroma, vague. Flavour is hoppy spiced and with a solid malt base. Lingering hoppy and spiced finish. Not really an oktoberfest but a nice brew. hotstuff (3178), Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Bottle shared by jsquire. Smalll off-white head that mostly diminished, virtually no lacing, and an orangish hue. Nose was malty and sweet. Ditto for the flavor along with a thin taste. Mouthfeel was smooth and thin. Light-medium body. There was nothing enticiing about the flavor of this beer whatsoever IMO. Better out there of this style. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2008 This bottled brew from JSquire poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was caramel malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of malt and caramel. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. bleeng (600), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2007 12 oz bottle. I’ve been drinking this for years and find it better on tap. Pours light brown and clear with no head. Nose of sugar, very burnt malts, caramel. Body is smooth and light with more carbonation than you would think from the head. Taste is sweet, caramely, a bit alcoholic but a good rendition of an American Octoberfest.
