Commercial Description:
An authentic, German-style Bock, celebrating the coming of spring. This strong, deeply flavored lager has been aged to create a smooth, malty taste with a hint of sweetness. A light addition of German hops balances the malt flavor. Saint Arnold Spring Bock is best consumed at 40° Fahrenheit.

12oz from drewbeerme - thanks! Pretty enjoyable spring bock, heavy on the malts and sweet caramel but with a nice hop tang in there (some bitter spice, a trace of citrus perhaps). Bready and drinkable. Decent.

pours a shallow head with no lacing. a lot of carbonation. taste of sweet and grassy followed by caramel. not too familiar with bocks so i could not say if it were true to the style, but it was good. cant say that i would go for it again though

Color is dark amber with a mediun off-white head. Sweet malt and toast aromas. Slightly watered down with a slight biscuit flavor and a mild hop bitterness.

Amber colored. Toastiness and maltiness in the aroma of the beer. Sweet with some carmel in the taste. Some hops but not too much. Decent head.

Thanks Deniz. Pours a nice thick copper brew with chill haze, well carbonated. One finger tan head. The aroma was sweet, fruity, grassy, biscuity malts. The flavor is sweet and grassy, light bittering flavor, malty. Very refreshing and lively mouthfeel. I enjoyed this.

The color was a crisp amber. The head was thin, fizzy, and white. The aroma was sweet and caramel malt. The flavor was fruity, yeasty, and sweet. The palate was lively from carbonation. The finish was clean.

3/5/08, At the Ginger Man in Dallas. Pours red w/ white head. Nose not discernible. Big on caramel and toffee, biscuity. Semi-hoppy, crisp and tasty. Good local brew in TX. Glad to have tried it.
