Commercial Description:
An authentic, German-style Bock, celebrating the coming of spring. This strong, deeply flavored lager has been aged to create a smooth, malty taste with a hint of sweetness. A light addition of German hops balances the malt flavor. Saint Arnold Spring Bock is best consumed at 40° Fahrenheit.

Wow. Is this really that much better than the last one I had a year ago? Sure seems like it. Ripe fruit aroma, little carbonation. Malty and finishes bitter. A good beer.

12oz bottle, thanks to lb4lb! pours clear amber with small white head. nose is really sweet toffee with bready and wonderful noble hop notes. flavor is a touch on the sweet side, bready, toffee, with a good dose of floral noble hops balancing that sweet malt out just enough. very fresh tasting. under-rated lager if you ask me, but this probably shines when really fresh as its a wonderful display of german hops. i just dont get the low ratings and i just drank angels share!

lb4lb. Clear amber pour with medium white head. Aroma is nutty with a hint of caramel. Flavor is nutty, caramel, and lots of floral hops, and bready malts also. Slightly sweet with just a hint of hops. Thin bodied though and a little too watery.

Word to Rollinhard for sending this local. Copper/red color, clear, with a decent off white head adding some creamy texture. Flavors of caramel and candi sugar. Slightly grainy aroma. Caramel flavors give way to a toasted bread experience. Not bad. Would be better at a different time of year, like say, Spring.

Pours a very clear amber red color with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and of caramel. The flavor is of malt, caramel, and is a little bit sweet and spicy. 12 oz. bottle.

Another Saint Arnold beer from lb4lb. Pours a clear, medium orange-rust color with a small , fizzy, off-white head. Virtually zero lacing noted. The aroma is sweet and fumy, with caramel, white grape juice, plums and cereal grains comprising the nose. The flavor is equally sweet, with the fruity components really moving to the foreground, along with a sugary creaminess. There are some vinous grape notes, along with a caramelly sweet background. The body is medium in stature and fairly smooth. Finishes long, fruity, and somewhat dry. Decent brew, but nothing special.

Pours a deep copper into the glass with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet and toasty. First big sip brings some nice malty sweetness as well as a bit of alcohol. The more Saint Arnold’s I drink, the more they just keep growing on me!
