First big sip brings some nice malty sweetness as well as a bit of alcohol. The more Saint Arnold’s I drink, the more they just keep growing on me! oreogobbler (217), Austin, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2008 Very delicious and drinkable beer. A great hazy, dark gold color. Really nice flavor to this one, much more intricate and well-balanced in comparison to the other St. Arnold’s I’ve had. I will have this again! On tap at The Volcano. djd07 (755), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear copper golden color with a large frothy off white head. The aroma is a strong malt and caramel. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet malt with a bit of spice. Another great brew from Saint Arnold. bleeng (600), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2008 2008 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour with no head. Filtered and clean looking. Nose is German-style malting, with some spiceyness and a nice hop profile coming through. Body is a bit thin on first tasting and a bit alcoholly for a 6.4% beer. A strong malt presence on the back end and it gets a bit chewier and thicker as it warms. One of SA’s better efforts on an annual basis. Best fresh. ilovedarkbeer (1369), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Very fresh. Pours a golden brown color with some red lacing and a medium sized white poofy head. Smells like toffee, chocolate malt, and a bit of sugar. Tastes like a watery amber with some caramel malt and an amber finish. Honestly I am not impressed but at the same time I am not dissapointed especially because this is one of the few heller bocks I have had. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA
