Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 4, 2008 Bottle, courtesy of Brandon Orr. Reddish amber with a thin top. Musty, wheaty, malty aroma. Smooth malty drinker with just a slight hoppy bite. Easy to drink session beer. (#3448, 5/3/2008)
ATLBeerDog (194), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 4, 2008 Pours a slightly cloudy orange/red with a small white head. Smells of spices, alcohol, malt, and honey. First taste sweet and floral and even with tons of honey notes present, this beer falls off as it is devoid of much other flavor. Not impressed. MrChopin (200), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2008 Many thanks to MaltOMeal! Firey amber color with small off-white head. Lots of sweet malt in the aroma and flavor, with florals, fruits, and minor sugar. Medium bodied, and though it is one-sided, it stays light and rather refreshing until the bitter, sticky finish. Definitely reminds me of spring, and I like that. Bockyhorsey (2020), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 1, 2008 12oz bottle courtesy of zinister. After a strong dose of malt sweetness a caramel aroma emerged near the finish. Amber body with beige head. Sweet heavy filling malt flavor for the most part. Some sweet fruits near the finish with the caramel. Beer is a good dose of sweet malt and that lingers on the palate. MaltOMeal (315), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Jul 22, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear reddish-orangish-amber with a thin, off-white head. Nose is lagerish with caramel, malt and nuts. Taste is of roasty malt, spices and some nuts. Mouthfeel is medium with some carbonation. decent. bboeckl (115), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA Jun 2, 2008 Aroma is of caramel malt with hints of brandy. Taste is a strong sweet caramel and lots of peppery alcohol. Very dry, crisp mouthfeel. Tastes as if it may have been aged a bit in a barrel. Strong hop bitterness. Lacks complexity and depth of character. Drinkable.
