Dark brown/red, short lasting head, some lacing. Roasty chocolate malts with thin fruit and sourness along the edges at the finish. Body was a little fizzy. Goes well with food! Thanks Fly.

Thanks to TChrome for this. Pours deep ruby (black without light shining directly through it) with small off-white head. Aroma of malt, slight chocolate, slight milk and very slight cod liver oil. Tastes malty, with some cherry essence coupled with a minor lactic hint and some tartness and fruit at the finish. Not terribly complex, and not very firm on the palate. Ramp up the body and complexity and this one will be a contender.

Bottle pours dark brown, almost black, with garnet hues on edges, small tannish frothy head, with spotty lacing.   Odd nose, very subtle roasted malts, whisps of alcohol (albeit at 5.6% you’d think you wouldn’t detect it), and a hint of chocolate & coffee beans.   Quite chocoately up front, slightly dry, with a dose of roasted malts.   Very soft coffee beans make their appearance at the end.   Decent body, but the mouthfeel is medium, bordering on thin.   Finishes slightly chalky, with a soft roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and minor coffee bean.   Not bad, but it needs to be much thicker.   Thanks goes out to 123456green for the trade!

Pretty dark color though it appears ruby red when held to the light with a retained tan colored head. Aroma is sweet malt with a slight nod to roastiness. Flavor starts our with a decent bit of roasted nuts, then just dies. Biggest complaint like everyone else is te watery nature of this stout. A pretty big problem for a beer of this genre.

Too light bodied for my tastes, but a good beginners stout for those who aren’t fans of the heavier Imperial style.

Taste damn good with these salted smoked almonds I’m eating. Pitch black color with little head. Little coffee and toasted nut flavor...or that could be the almonds. decent stout.

Bottle Pours a very deep dark brown, with a nice modest sized foamy tan head. Some dark roasted aromas, and not much else. Flaovr was fairly sweet, dark roasted, and some molassas notes. A bit dry and smokey. Feel was very thin, watery maybe and carbonation was quite low.(this not necessarily a bad thing) Finish was a lingering sweet smokey taste
