Bottle. Thanks Zinister. Dark brown pour with a tan color head. Aroma is roasted coffee. Nice roasted coffee taste, but was very smooth. Not bad at all.

Pours a deep brown color with a tan head. Aroma is very malty and roasted with hints of dark berries and milk. Flavor is roasted coffee, chocolate, milk, and slightly bitter. Very smooth and creamy, like drinking milk. 12 oz. bottle.

Well, even though it was near 80 today in Houston, it was still winter inside my frosted mug! Yummy stout, not too heavy, great flavor and a THICK creamy delicious head to top it off. YUM.

Pours a brownish black into the glass with a small off white head and deep ruby highlights. Aroma is roasted grains and cocoa. The flavor of this stout is really nice with a smooth drinkability. Quite enjoyable but not amazing

On tap at Flying Saucer. A very dark brown with a light tan head. The aroma is a strong roasted malt and coffee. The taste is also a strong roasted malt with a dry finish. I was waiting awhile to finally try this and was a little dissapointed but still fairly good.

12-31-07 bottle.
Thin reddish brown color with okay head. Smells of weak watery malt. Very weak and light aroma for a "stout". More like a porter or a brown than anything else. Not complex, thick, exciting, or interesting at all. Just bland, boring, thin and weak. Taste isnt bad; in fact, it is quite drinkable. It is just really weak.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass- poured 10% transparent black, formed a small white disk on the top, aroma of weak roasted malt. Hits the mouth with a wide body, heavy coffee with toffee notes, finish is very delightful- solid. Look out Guinness, if this had national promotion, you’d be heading back to Ireland.

Pours almost black but lets in a touch of light. Big tan head, but fades very quickly. Smell is of coffee, dark roast malt and a hint of a cardboard too. Taste is sweet dark roasty malt, mildly bittered with a somewhat sweet roasty finish. medium bodied and more carbonated than ideal for a stout, but its easy drinking and actually doesn’t taste that bad. Honestly expected worse, and this is a decent beer all around, but no great standout qualities really, either.
