A much better beer than its average rating on this site would suggest. There’s no accounting for tastes, I suppose.

Wow... aroma is exactly like Mexican Chocolate. Amazing... Dark brown in color with clean roasted malt flavor bordering on coffee & cream. Overall, this is an extreme pleasure to drink.

This yours brew even better than last years. Pours relatively light for a stout, with less aroma than you would expect, but delivers great flavor. Strong malty flavor from start to finish with a great mouthfeel and finish. I wonder if this beer would do better marketed as a porter, however.

Dark brown color with a thin fast diminshing tan head and a bit of lacing down the sides of the glass. Very stong coffee aroma with hints of chocolate. Nice coffee taste, carmels, and chocolate. I really enjoyed this one.

lb4lb bought me this round. The aroma is fairly fruity with light chocolate and roast notes. Get a pretty good dose of nose tickling co2 as well. The body is a ruby hued black and holds a nice looking, finger thick, tan head that is most lasting, but leaves little lace. Very concentrated roasted malt, bitter dark and sweet milk chocolate, a hint of coffee and a dose of dark fruits that leans to ripe blueberry. This taste much better than I would have guessed from the low score. A bit thin, but not unforgivably so and this is much assuaged by a very tasty flavor profile. Vastly underrated this one.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass- poured 10% transparent black, formed a small white disk on the top, aroma of weak roasted malt. Hits the mouth with a wide body, heavy coffee with toffee notes, finish is very delightful- solid. Look out Guinness, if this had national promotion, you’d be heading back to Ireland.
