Surpris.

Wow what carbonation. Rich orange amber hue with red tint. Great head. Soapy, slight high pitched citrus, yeast, and something funky going on as well. Aroma indicates that beer should taste more sour, but it doesn’t. Not enough malt and hops. Carbonated to the max.

In short: A light fruity and caramel ale with some out-of-place acidity. Amateurish.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear golden orange body with a very small white head
In long: Minerals/bubbly soda-pop-ish nose. Taste is watery citrus fruits and oranges with an undesired acidity. Weak backbone, malt sweetness feels like honey/caramel extract. Some green grass and a little mint touch. Second and last beer I had at the brewpub. Before visiting the brewpub I used to say that I just didn’t like any of the Saint-Arnould bottled beers. Now I’ve removed “bottled” from that sentence.
