Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Mar 24, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Dull, powdery stout which I believe is different from the Malédiction (the latter being even thinner and sharper on the roast).
I like:
Not much. That was a very simplistic and thin example.
I dislike:
The considerable mineral side which does not fit the hop emptiness. The oatmeal does not support much body. Watery feel.
Glouglouburp (1876), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Feb 15, 2008 In short: A watery extra boring flavourless black beer.
How: Tap at Saint-Bock
The look: Black body with a large tan head leaving good lacings
In long: Body feels extra thin. I then looked at the beer, it is indeed black but I could see through it. Aroma and taste is a whole lot of nothing. Only a light roastiness/ashes flavour. No hops presence at all. Empty finish. Take a generic stout and mix it with an equal part of water and that’s pretty much what this Ange Noir is. Trash. Vidange Noir.
(Rating #1437)
