Mid-yellow, with a white head that stays for ever. Yeast floaty bits are off-putting. Aroma is a bit lagery, some light maltiness and candifloss sweetness. Smooth and sticky mouthfeel, slightly creamy. Taste is sweet and maybe honey. Later it becomes maltier, in particular a more richly roasted malt than the colour would hint at. Earthy, roasted malt aroma with pineyish and citruic hops, and hints of orange peels. Medium bodied and smooth. Quite sweet with moderate bitterness, making it a bit unbalanced. The aftertaste is a bit synthetic. Jerre (1756), Waregem, Belgium
