Hint of honey, though not very strong. Full body. Warming effect from the alcohol, but in background. Decent, interesting brew. oh6gdx (9104), Vasa, Finland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 5, 2005 Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, foamy mediumsized head. Aroma of skunky barnyard as well as cardboard and some sweet fruits. Quite dry, maybe a bit honey in flavour. Some frutis in the flavour too. Long dry grassy caramellish aftertaste. Alcohol is wellhidden in this one. sayravai (3777), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2005 (Bottled) Opaque orange with a medium, lacy head. Neutral, dryish, slightly spicy (coriander?) aroma with cardboard hints. The flavor is somewhat sweeter, with honey hints and slightly less evident hopping than in the ambree. Medium-bodied, smooth-carbonated palate. Practically an ambree with added honey - and definitely not bad. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

Hazy yellow, not much head. Strong aroma of herbs, hops and rye-breadish malts. Mouthfeel starts toffeeish, maybe with notes of honey. Then it turns to hoppy and dry. Very refreshing, you can’t notice 8%. Extremely soft palate. (7/3/8/5/16 3.9)

Hazy orange, small yellowish creamy head. Hayish, dry aroma. Dry grassy/hay hoppy palate, which is cut by honey. Not overly sweet and not showing alcohol much. Basicly Saint-Monon Ambree with sweetness added. (6/3/7/4/14 3.4) Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 23, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, pretty amber with a dense, sticky head. Rather discreet nose - perhaps a vague scent of honey and malt. Contains a nice - but never cloying - caramel-like sweetness and a subdued almost soft bitterness. A decent brew but not quite as refined as the other Saint-Monons I’ve tried. 080200
