Draught. Weak, malty roasted aroma. Almost black colour, small creamy light brown head. Thin body. Liquorice flavour at several levels. A bit sweet.

May 21, 2008 [1167-20080301] Bottle. Ginger spice aroma is mostly lasagna and bready yeast grains with some alcohol. Cloudy, dark brown body with a medium-lasting creamy light tan head. Spicy Christmas gingerbread man flavour. Medium-full body. Yum!

Apr 1, 2008 Bottle @ Zythos Bier Festival 2008, Sint Niklaas, Belgium. Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted, roasted, anis seed - spicy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (010308)

Mar 12, 2008 2008-03-01. Brown body, I got a murky end of the bottle sample I think, tan head. Sweet and lightly spicy aroma, ginger. Ginger starts slow but grows in both the aroma and flavour, sweet underlying malt, lingering impressiong of ginger and spice. Average plus palate (3+). Not bad.

Mar 9, 2008 ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazzlenut brown with a lacing off-white head. Thyme spiced aroma. Flavour is perfumed spiced, thyme and with a medium dry malt base. Ends with a lingering thyme spiced note. too spiced for my liking.
