| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 7, 2005 Nearly black brown; small yellowish head. Spicey - as tandoori herbs, or the coriander-mint-yoghurt sauce coming with the poppadums. Further some dark malts, but restrained. I know there’s thyme in it - and one can taste it: it gives the taste of a spiced roastbeef crust and gravy, in an (again) Indian tandoori way. Well bodied, nearly chewy. Amazing how this thymol can give (in combination with the beer) a multitude of flavours. This is a very nice beer, actually. marcus (1864), Sacramento, California, USA

This dark brown beer poured with almost no head (I believe this bottle had aged for a while). It is quite spicy with a slight licorice taste. Kåstå (1149), Mol, Belgium
