Nearly black colored, fizzy carbonation. Great nutty and malty nose. Chocolate, molasses, yeast and vanilla taste. Kind sweet -- and thin but still nice.

(bottle) Cloudy dark brown colour with a small foamy tanned head. Slightly sweet roastmalty aroma with dried fruits, caramel, yeasts and chocolate, very complex. Sweetbitter flavour, medium body, soft mouthfeel. Slight sweet malty start with an upcoming bitterness, caramel/toffee notes, soft sweet but also bitterfruity finish. A complex and moreish brew.

Pours hazy dark brown with a golden gleam and a fine light tan head. Dominating malty and fruity aroma with a herby and dusty tone. Sweet malt and caramel flavor with plenty of sweet fruit. A bit thin in the body with a rather unpleasant dusty finish. All right though.

Bottle, sampled at Delirium Café, Göteborg. Cloudy brown colour. Perfumy, spicy nose. Medium bodied. Spicy flavour profile - dark fruits, coffee, licorice...that lasts long.

Bottled. A dark brown coloured beer with no head, although puddles of tan bubbles form later on. The beer seemed sadly a little infected. The aroma was a bit sour and soapy and the taste also so. There appeared to be a little spiciness but nothing much else of any quality. Had an English Bottle Conditioned blight to it.

(Bottled) Opaque dark brown with a small, lasting, lacy head. Perfumy aroma of malt, syrup and dried fruit, as well as decent amount of hops and hints of anise. Strongly burned-malty, ashy flavor with hints of coffee and a bitter, dryish finish. Feels like a color-malt overdose. Medium-bodied, a bit thin and foamy-carbonated palate. Not very balanced or enjoyable dubbel, thanks to the excess color malts.

Great aroma: Rich and with some cocoa. Full, rich flavor. Notes of coffee. Very "dark" flavor for a bruin. Very nice.
