Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Spice and liqourice in the aroma. Some dried fruits. Flavour full of christmas spices. Sweetness and liqourice is there. Medium bodied. Has a spicy and yeasty end. Nice.

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy especially ginger and cinnamon. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt, caramel, bread, and spices, ginger being most dominant, leading to a dry spicy end. Thanks MadsBerg for sharing.

Bottled. Very cloudy greyish brown coloured. Loads of Christmas spices, sage and some yeast in the aroma. Sweet yeasty and spicy flavour with notes of light meat and white wine sauce. Medium bodied. Nice. Not too sweet.

A Mes rate: Draught at ZBF. Smells distinctly of libraries and dusty old books plus some heavy paprika and cinnamon. The savoury of the paprika and the cinnamon mix well. The spicy character totally dominates everything and it suffers slightly as a result. Cant get past that old and dusty note. Reminds me of old school hallways and corridors. It has character I’ll give it that much...

Bottle: Poured a dark brown/black color with thick cream head. Spicy sweet aroma. The flavor is dark roasted malt that finishes spicy.

Draught Fully hazy brown-orange beer with a small beige head. Extremely spicey nose, pine and cypress needles, cloves, cumin (a lot!), maybe lavender. Again spicey flavours, cumin, cinnamon, green cardemom, cloves. Sweet, touch of alcohol. Very full bodied, oily, pappery even. A bit heavy on the spices, no? Still, not an uninteresting beer. It’s for supping with the turkey, and getting stuffed in full.

Bottle. Dark brown with a healthy khaki head. Spicy aroma with sweet caramel subdued by herbs and spicy yeastiness.Sweet caramel sweetness meeting herbs (read:thyme)- it is a meeting, not a marriage. Full body, soft mouthfeel. Not sure if I would say that using thyme is an example to follow- it is basically too overpowering. Yet the taste is very original and as such strangely addictive.
