Jan 19, 2007 (100cl bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a big and persistent, off-white foamy head. Dusty, slightly sweet malty, slightly toasty nose with an artificial tartness. Sweet flavour, medium body, light carbonation. Malt-accented, toasty taste with hints of caramel, sugary sweetness on the palate; sweet, slightly artificial finish.

Jan 4, 2007 Screw cap bottle ( 1000ml, bought in a cheap supermarket in Calais): Deep amber coloured, long lasting off-white head; sweet-malty nose, a bit fruity with traces of artificial sweetener (?); sweet flavour, nearly cloying; light to medium bodied; sugary finish, almost artificial. La grande nation ? Not when they make beer....?
