Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

Bottle from trade. Dirty caramel color with not-much-of-a white head. Aroma is pretty funky and malty, oaky and almost flemish sour aroma. Oaky, dirty, red fruit and slight alc, lots of earthy belgian yeast, a little winey as it warmed. Medium body with a little bit of carb. I am really digging this brew, like a big flemish, mixed with saison, very nice.

Thanks to xnoxhatex. hazy caamel orange pour with no head, just a faint white ring. Honey and caramel sweetness, tart gape, cherry , tobacco. Both sweet and tart in flavor, honey and caramel, nice tart red fruit. Very smooth with no carbonation. It gets better and better the more I sip it. This is very Belgian indeed. I could drink this one all day.

Thanks xnoxhatex! Pours a murky dark orange with a minimal white ring on top. Intricate aroma, sweet honey, malty caramel, fruity, woody, tart, alcohol. Tastes like a sour and barley wine blend. Thick viscous body, zero carbonation, sticky, vague. Tart, sweet, caramel, lightly sour, lightly spiced with a touch of red fruit in the finish. Good going America.

Acquired in a trade with Beerlando - Pours a hazy amberish brown color with a small fizzy white head. Interesting nose of Indian spices, cardamon, and cinnamon, with a small amount of vinous apple skins. Sweet bready maltiness, with some white pepper spice, white grapes and a bit of honey mixed with white candi sugar. A bit of babana yeastiness as well as a small amount of caramel and toffee. Not bad at all, very drinkable. Thanks Bryan!

750 ml cork and caged bottle flown up to NJ by Roscoe, thanks man for this suprise hook up. Aroma is very sweet and sugary with notes of white grapes, honey, raisin and sugar. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a sweet finish, go figure all those sweet aromas and this one finishes on the sweet side...shocker!! Flavor is grapes, yeast, sugar, and slight maltiness but has an overall dryness about it somehow. This is a pleasant beer but after having the Sly Fox Incubus first, one of my faves, this one just falls a little short.

Bottle: Courtesy of beerlando...thanks Bryan. Murky amber color with a massive rocky tan head. Pleasant bready malts, belgian yeast, spiced citrus notes in the nose with hints of clove. Very quaffable, heavily carbonated mouth feel...flavor consists of some biscuity malts, clove and bananas. Very good stuff.

750ml bottle. Med brown and cloudy color. Very light nose, some typical belgian scents. Overall found this to be pretty sweet, with a nice overall flavor. Belgian yeasts were also noticeable. Very nice smooth finish, but very short lived.

After their disastrous turn at a saison, I was a little apprehensive about trying this. Thankfully, what I got was a nice little BSA that was quite a surprise. The beer pours out a amberish/orange color with a nice, 3-finger thick head. Aroma was sweet malts/fruity character with a peppery profile that I enjoyed. Taste had mostly the same profile as the aroma, but it had some subtle funkiness to it. Don’t know if that was by accident or infection, but for now it worked. Medium mouth feel with a smooth body. Again, not bad after the train wreck that is their saison.
