Jun 11, 2009 Nice carbonated head. Bubbles fall fairly quickly. Red body. Flavor of raisins on the sweet side with a Belgian kick to it.Body not too heavy. Will probably buy this again if it ever becomes more regular here in N. California.

May 31, 2009 Pours deep amber into a tulip. Tan head recedes to skim surface. Balsamic and spicy fruit aromas. Crisp and well balance - sweet summer fruits upfront turning sour and lemony in the lasting finish.

May 10, 2009 Pours a nice amber color. Smells of fruits, lemon zest, spices and yeast. Flavor is apple, figs, spices, belgian candy sugar and yeast. Medium body and sweet then dry finish. Great beer!

May 7, 2009 Pours brownish red with yellowy orange highlights and a beige head that sticks around for ages. Looks great. The aroma is awfully heavy on the apples and pears though, along with grapes, red wine, and maybe toffee. Tastes of more apples, pears, wine, spice, and a bit of caramel. Finishes with a little toast, brown sugar, and candy apples. Damn, this is fruity and very tangy. Not tart or sour really, just tangy. Creamy enough mouthfeel, but the carbonation is quite high and the tanginess isn’t all that desirable. Still it’s complex, unique and worth trying.
