| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Bottle from Beerlando. Mostly clear amber with a small beige head. The nose is lightly sweet, vinous and floral with caramel and golden raisins. Flavor is light sweet with cotton candy, toffee, raisins and herbal hops. Medium body is very soft with very light carbonation. Just a bit more attenuation and higher carbonation and this would be outstanding. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 27, 2008 750 ml bottle courtesy of PhillyBeer2112. Pour is clear orange golden with visible carbonation bubbles and a one inch cream white head. Aroma of apple sweet-sour, and some yeastiness. Taste is initially the apple sweetness, but gives way quickly to a more sticky, honey sweetness. The finish is a bit long and cloying. Alcohol heat is present throughout the entire flavor. This beer had some nice pieces, but the whole really didn’t come together too well. I do love that a new, smaller brewery is making a beer such as this - daring stuff. Thanks for sending this my way, Dan!
As others have mentioned, this was a very difficult cork to get open, I actually had my cork screw break off in the cork, had to pull it out with a wrench. No worries, it was an old cork screw. shp555 (1691), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Small light tan head, fizzy but lasting. Lacing is minimal, somewhat stringy and spotty. Hazy copper hued brew. Light nose of caramel malts, light fruit notes, raisin, plum? Body is lightly medium, lightly oily with a soft carbonation, surprisingly. Lightly sweet malt flavors, caramel with some candy sugar, faint bananna notes and hints of apple cider like flavors. Lightly sweet malty finish. Twas just OK. Bottle purchased @statelineliquors. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 30, 2008 Updated: May 31, 2008After their disastrous turn at a saison, I was a little apprehensive about trying this. Thankfully, what I got was a nice little BSA that was quite a surprise. The beer pours out a amberish/orange color with a nice, 3-finger thick head. Aroma was sweet malts/fruity character with a peppery profile that I enjoyed. Taste had mostly the same profile as the aroma, but it had some subtle funkiness to it. Don’t know if that was by accident or infection, but for now it worked. Medium mouth feel with a smooth body. Again, not bad after the train wreck that is their saison.
