Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

(Bottle, thanks Degarth) Pours copper amber red. The aroma is light spicy, light malty and light fruity with apples, ripe pears, juicy oranges, melon, ginger, mild caramel, cookie, bread and sugar. Undertones of chlorine/swimming pool and alcohol. The flavour is malty, light fruity, light yeasty and light spicy with tones of dough, bread, oranges, apples and pears. Medium sweet, light bitter, light acidic and tart. The mouthfeel is a bit syrupy and watery. Aftertaste is sourish with some citric notes. Medium bodied.

Bomber tasted at Saarlander’s SoCal tasting with saarlander, cquiroga, dirty_martini & kittiesandbeer, JohnC and others. Cloudy yellow amber color. Small bubble head. Nice yeasty aroma with corriander I believe. A nice small amount of sour. Easy to drink.7,4,7,4,16:3.8 Rerate: 3/30/08: Fordest tasting: 7,3,7,3,15:3.5

75cl bottle from Jans Wine and Boos #2 (Tampa, FL). Rated on 3/19/08. Pours a caramel amber color with thin off-white head which dissipates quickly to near nothing. Aroma is toffee, bread, hints of caramel, honey and sweet fruit. Taste is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, honey. Earthy barley flavor initially that transitions to a smoother, sweeter finish.

Bottle. Thanks to mcbackus for sending me this one. After the twist off helmet broke it took me a good 10 minutes to pry it off so I could pop the cap, this one was worth it. Poured a medium brown body with thin head. Aroma is dried fruit, plums, and candied sugar. Flavor is dried fruit, plums, candied sugar, light melons and earthy tones. Very drinkable and quite nice. Thanks Matt.

Bottled shared buy notalush, I also have one in a trade from Beerlando. This brewer is really good and I cannot wait to keep drinking his stuff. It pours an orange-copper color, completely murky with no clarity. Aroma is dill (bastard Joe threw that in my head) or more like it’s smells are fresh herbs that are green yet rejuvenating. In general it s springtime on your nose with yeasty (dough sweetness) highlights. Taste is fresh and light sweetness of a Belgian Saison. Medium body but also very alive. It’s just so fun to drink. It’s awesome in its simplicity, nice spices with a strong saison.

750 ml(courtesy of gunhaver)-Another problem getting this one uncorked had again to use a corkscrew and there was no carbonated pop. A cloudy orangish/reddish which started out with a head then dissipated quickly into nothing. Aroma of yeast, malt, plums, sweetness, and apples. Taste of this medium bodied brew comes across with begian yeast, sweetness, and a bit of alcohol. Very flat. Would of liked to try one that was carbonated correctly.
