Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

Yeasty aroma, apple skins, kumquats, hints of pear, with a slight spice in the background of the aroma. Pours a cloudy orange amber, with little head. Smooth, a little tartness, candi sugar is apparent, with a slight cidery flavor, some sweet citrus. A nice beer.

Hints of winey-ness in the aroma. Dates and spices follow through, with a lightly acidic, but pleasant flavor. Nice.

25.4 oz bottle. Cloudy garnet brown with a super foamy, smooth beige head. Nose is sour cherry, floral, oak and toffee. Lively, tickling carb gives this a pleasant airy quality without being watery. Taste is apple and toffee with yeast, honey and hints of citrus.

Cask at Redlight. Amber pour with a thick white head. Sweet malty aroma with hint of tart berrys. Taste is thick and malty with dry tart berrys. Clean dry tart finish. A little too sweet on cask.

Bottle. Aroma of cinnamon, apple, peppery spices, lightly-sugared biscuit/toffee malt. Flavor keeps the apple-cinnamon going for me with a huge nougat character and finishes on the spice notes. Pretty dry, very smooth and drinkable. A unique, tasty treat.
