Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

750 mL bottle (tasting hosted by after4ever) - clear orange with white head and tart apple aromas; flavors of fruit, yeast and very mild spice; smooth with creamy texture right from the first sip

"A beautiful beer," said the guy at Beer Table before he gladly took my $25 (ouch!) for the 750ml bottle. Copper color with lasting beige head. Aroma is brown sugar, dark fruits, spices, and earth. Good dark malts and yeast, some fruitiness and slight sour notes. Great full mouthfeel.

750ml bottle from SoLan. Lots of sweet fruit on the aroma: crushed green grapes, apples, pear must. Caramel and gingerbread. Pours muddy orange with a thin white head leaving spotty lacing. Caramel apple is what instantly hits my tongue. A hint of spice followed by a necessary dry yeast flavor. Creamy. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Quite a bit better than the Saison.

Fresh fruit salad bouquet, pears apples and some tropical fruits, some odd little yeasty character floating around in there, taste is very ester prevelant, slightly sweet, at least at first, then that yeastiness washes through and drys things out. Looks nice in the glass. Decent Belgian, thanks Kingpin

Poured from a 750. Golden orange color, settled and clear. Predictable but intricately woven aroma of red apple, honey, and dry ground cinnamon. Pears, nutmeg and olive oil fill in the back. Dense flavor of a richly spiced Chardonnay; white grapes, pears, bubblegum and a touch of very old cherry pit. Clean and spicy with mild acidity. Finishes with a warm rush of banana sugar, smacking fully of the fruit. Solid. Medium and somewhat slick palate. It could be incredibly lovely with either a more forceful drying sourness or a fuller richness of malt to balance all the light fruit tones, but it sits comfortably in between. Very close. Thanks for sharing, Ryan!

Another interesting Saint Somewhere brew. Attractive pour of dark caramel brown. Spicy nose and malty, fruity flavor. Complex. Kind of a train wreck.

bottle thanks to santa.....pours a muddled orange brown with a fastly dissipating head.....some spice and tart-fruity in the nose. something else is a little off but i can’t put my finger on it.....a sweetness dominates the flavor with more of that spice, a little banana, etc....this really wasn’t for me.
