Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

Scored this via trade with daknole. Many thanks! Champagne bottle pours a translucent reddish, amber with a sudsy, slightly beige head. Plenty of sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Looks a bit like carbonated apple cider. Aroma is very fruity, apples, oranges, honey, grapes and some spice. Flavor is similar, grassy, green apples, some belgian candy, honey and a touch of grain. Finish has a ton of carbonation and a little bit or sweet and sour that’s almost unidentifiable. Too much fruit, too much carbonation, could be refined a bit more.

Pours hazy caramel color with big white head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, candy sugar and some funkiness. Mildly sweet fruitiness with biscuity yeast flavor. Medium body with tingly carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Crisp, dry finish. Pretty good.

dark amber pour with a thick off white head. Aroma was green apple, brown sugar, yeast. Flavor has quite a bit of caramel sweetness, more belgian yeast, plun, fig, dates. Sweeter finish with a good amount of carbonation.

Bottle shared by robert. Light orange in color decent head. Lots of carbonation when it hits the mouth. I always hate that. The taste was still good. Sweet candy sugar, spices light dark fruity taste. Texture was good, more on the light side. The carbonation level is the only thing that bothered me. But overall a decent beer.

750 ml. bottle. Cloudy dark orange/amber with a foamy to frothy head which collapsed with no lacing. Bready aroma with mild spice, yeast and fruit notes (pear/banana). Flavor of cake/quickbread malts, sweet and fruity but balanced well with a peppery spice finish. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Nice complexity and balance.

Not quite a gusher but it did shoot the cork as soon as I loosened the cage. Lively carbonation, a bit tart, with biscuit dough, and wine notes. Smells like a fresh apple. Pretty nice if slightly flawed.I wish the mouthfeel wasn’t so aggressive.
