Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

750 from Degarth. Shared with Bartzilla. Pretty damn tasty, really nice citrus flavors and a light refreshing taste from a belgian strong. Pretty tasty, I really liked this.

Sample courtesy of Sparky27 at the hellbilly holiday tasting. Hazy deep amber pour with a small foamy head. Aroma of tart fruit, malt, spice and yeast. Tart berries, yeast and a hint of vinegar in the flavor. Tasty. Thanks Eric!

750ml bottle from SoLan. Lots of sweet fruit on the aroma: crushed green grapes, apples, pear must. Caramel and gingerbread. Pours muddy orange with a thin white head leaving spotty lacing. Caramel apple is what instantly hits my tongue. A hint of spice followed by a necessary dry yeast flavor. Creamy. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Quite a bit better than the Saison.

Bottle: Courtesy of beerlando...thanks Bryan. Murky amber color with a massive rocky tan head. Pleasant bready malts, belgian yeast, spiced citrus notes in the nose with hints of clove. Very quaffable, heavily carbonated mouth feel...flavor consists of some biscuity malts, clove and bananas. Very good stuff.

750ml bottle. Gift from Secret Santa. Pours a cloudy amber color with almost no head at all. Almost no carbonation. Nose is of light fruits, apples, pears, maybe oranges. Taste is mostly the same. Don’t know how old my bottle was as I could not find a date on it. Pretty good.

This one requires protective eye gear to open. Two turns of the cage key and the whole fucking top exploded off. It shot the cork and cage thirty feet across the room. Cloudy brown with a huge foamy head (it did blow up after all). Malty spicy aroma and taste with an orange taste and a tart finish. Raisin flavors become more dominant as the beer warms.

bottle by way of dragonstout. pours a rich coppery color (hazy when the yeast gets added) with an off white head that vigorously foams up then fades to a film. initial aroma is distinctly like a corked bottle of wine along with apple pie spice/ REAL hard cider, button mushrooms (bloomy white mold), caramel and a light fruity tartness similar to cooked lemon skins. flavors of belgian yeast, cinnamon and the same profiles as the aroma. the white moldy flavor shows back up in the finish along with some alcohol warmth. light to medium bodied with lots of carbonation. it’s not terrible, just ’off’. there’s definitely something wrong with the bottle and it needs a re rate...5/3/5/3/8/2.4

bottle from sparky27...

rich hazy iced tea color with a small off white head and slight lacing. the aroma has some sour orange and apricot to it along with earthy carrots, caramel and spices. the flavor packs a lot of maltiness yet it is quite dry.... orange, flowers, caramel, sweet red apples and a touch of spice on the dry finish. so smooth and terribly well balanced.

it would appear as if the kinks have been worked out. 7/4/7/3/16/3.7

Bright orange and hazy with a small white head. Good lace. Aroma is fruity with some biscuit. Flavor is very fruity with apricot, apples, pear, hops, and a light biscuit taste.
