Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

Pours a hazy copper orange with a thin-lacing ring of white head. Aroma of sweet doughy yeast and Belgian malt with a touch of ginger. Starts fairly full and malty sweet with a nice yeasty complexity and some mild spice for balance. A nice and fairly authentic Belgian strong ale.

Bottle: Hazy copper, light head, no lacing. Nose of musty fruit and tart yeast; hay and aged hops. The flavor is zesty, light body, some pickly and brie notes. Cheese and zesty tail. Belgiany for florida.

Not quite a gusher but it did shoot the cork as soon as I loosened the cage. Lively carbonation, a bit tart, with biscuit dough, and wine notes. Smells like a fresh apple. Pretty nice if slightly flawed.I wish the mouthfeel wasn’t so aggressive.

750 mL bottle. Pours hazy amber with an average, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, straw), average hops (flowers, grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of apple, pear, raspberry, and wood. Full bodied, sticky and gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Bottle from SoLan- Slightly hazy bronze/copper color. Almost no head. Nose is apple ciderish, some dark fruit notes mix with yeasty esters. Drinking this suprises, Belgian style from Florida? Flavor actually hits most of the Belgian profile, the esters and sweet darker flavors are there and meld well together. Carbonation is just slightly lower than I’d like. Finishes with vanilla and hints of spice.

750 ml bottle via trade trade - Started gushing as soon as I popped the cork. Didn’t lose much though. Pours a hazy amber color with a one finger thick light tan head. Not much lacing. Aroma is esters and yeast. Flavor is primarily sweet fruit with some light malt backing. Medium body. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. A quite enjoyable beer.

This is my second beer from this brewery (both picked up at Pat’s Liquors in Porter, IN), and I’m being impressed. This one pours a slightly hazed chestnut body with a towering, firm ecru head. It has a fruity, sweet caramelish nose, some flowers held in the distance, and a touch of soapy yeast. Dangerously smooth to drink, light and nigh unto fluffy in the mouth, it tastes of toffee, orchard fruit, mild brown spices, thin molasses, and dark sugars with a moderate flamora. Nice enjoyable drink.

Thanks to Maltomeal for this beer. Pours a dark amber color with a big tan head and great lacing. Nose is fresh with a spicy floral aroma. Flavor is fruit peel, citrus spice. Palate is rich, ful with great flavors and good carbonation. Good beer that is well balanced.
