Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

750 ml bottle via trade trade - Started gushing as soon as I popped the cork. Didn’t lose much though. Pours a hazy amber color with a one finger thick light tan head. Not much lacing. Aroma is esters and yeast. Flavor is primarily sweet fruit with some light malt backing. Medium body. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. A quite enjoyable beer.

This is my second beer from this brewery (both picked up at Pat’s Liquors in Porter, IN), and I’m being impressed. This one pours a slightly hazed chestnut body with a towering, firm ecru head. It has a fruity, sweet caramelish nose, some flowers held in the distance, and a touch of soapy yeast. Dangerously smooth to drink, light and nigh unto fluffy in the mouth, it tastes of toffee, orchard fruit, mild brown spices, thin molasses, and dark sugars with a moderate flamora. Nice enjoyable drink.

Thanks to Maltomeal for this beer. Pours a dark amber color with a big tan head and great lacing. Nose is fresh with a spicy floral aroma. Flavor is fruit peel, citrus spice. Palate is rich, ful with great flavors and good carbonation. Good beer that is well balanced.

Rating #400. 750 ml bottle. 2008 vintage. Deep, dark ruby color. Clear and full of carbonation. Large, fluffy, light tan head. Good bit of lacing. Aroma of spices, dark fruits, candi sugar. Flavor is pretty balanced. A touch of sweetness accompanies the dark fruits. Finish is malty. Nice beer. Glad to have them available in Georgia now.

750ml obtained in trade with dchmela. Deep amber/clover honey pour. Sweet honey like aroma. The flavor has almost no residual sugar but there is still a candy like presence. Very floral and flowery taste. Full body and mouth feel. Quite drinkable. Though not as good as the saison.

Sweet and caramel taste. Lots of carbonation. Toffee. Very nice version of the style. Even in Florida, good beer is being made! Very enjoyable. Only two bottles seem to have made it to Missouri, and they are both at Wine and Cheese. Have to pick up more next time I’m in St. Louis.

My bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & garthicus -- courtesy of gunhaver. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with a spare diminishing white head. Aroma’s sweet with some light funkyness, citrus and a bit of candi sugar. Flavour’s a mix of sweet and sour along with caramel, some fruit and a light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Pretty nice!

Hints of winey-ness in the aroma. Dates and spices follow through, with a lightly acidic, but pleasant flavor. Nice.
