Very cloudy orange pour is quite inviting, as is the fast rising head. Very buttery and yeasty aroma recalls Heavyweight’s Biere de Arte (and I don’t think it’s diacetyl). Slightly sour and musty in the nose too, and there’s a subdued sour taste along with some spice and malts. Seems more like a variation on a biere de garde than a strong, but that’s quibbling. The aroma was sweet, slightly fruity, Belgian candy sugar, yeast and spices. The flavor had more fruits, caramel malt, banana, yeast, sugary sweet, with a touch of alcohol. Decent interesting beer.
