Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

750ml bottle via Mys Swap 3.0. Pours a cloudy amber with a small head. Nose is fusel alc, banana and sweet malts. Tastes just like it smells. This must be a belgian yeast..is unique..but has the classic belgian profile. Also some spiciness..ginger, cardimom. Body is full. Carbonation is medium.

Bottle from Iowaherkeye - thanks Joey. Sweet apple and honey aromas with some roasted scents. Caramel brown with a flat head. Dry roasted malt, light caramel, apple juice, fruit cake, and a light spiciness. Creamy and somewhat flat with a light dryish finish. Good.

[2414-20090801] Bottle. Toasted generic fruit aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Tangy citrus juice flavour has tons of roasted malt. Medium body has a bit of a tang to it. Interesting to try.

This one was quite a gusher (an exploder really), took a while to pour. Coppered in color, a bit murky with a big, tan/khaki head. Aroma of yeast, spice, pepper, fruit and apples. Flavor of apples, yeast and spice; something a bit strange in there, but nothing bad really. Quite peppery in the finish. Becomes more apple-centric with time. A solid beer.

Served from 750 ml bottle during ABR ’08 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a semi-hazy dark amber brew with a thick and lumpy off-white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of tart fruit, some yeast, candi sugar and a mild barnyard funk. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of toasted biscuits, yeast, candi sugar, some tart apple and cotton candy. Finish is slightly tart with a lingering yeast and caramel aftertaste.

750 thanks to daknole. This stuff is good, but a bit on the too sweet belgian style for me. Worth a try though.

Tasting – Perfect Pour. Dark amber, thin creamy head. Sweet raisin and brown sugared cherry aromas ride soft grassy-like undercurrents. Caramelized dried dark fruit tones gain a touch of herbal grassy hop flavor late. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A touch too sweet for me…
