Commercial Description:
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

Yeasty aroma, apple skins, kumquats, hints of pear, with a slight spice in the background of the aroma. Pours a cloudy orange amber, with little head. Smooth, a little tartness, candi sugar is apparent, with a slight cidery flavor, some sweet citrus. A nice beer.

Aroma of candi sugar, plums and a little yeast. Color is almost orange, with a 1 inch head in a duvel tulip. Flavor is grapes and the ever so slightest touch of sour. Palate is smooth with a dry finish. Glad to see this brewed here.

Bottle from Total Wine in Naples FL. Pours copper with an off white head and huge soda like carbonation bubbles. Aroma of flower petals, Belgian esters, and candy sugar. Medium bodied, but with a light texture and some spritzy carbonation. Flavor has all types of things going on- cinnamon, dark candy, caramel, and berry. Slightly above average attenuation. Finish is yeasty with Belgian phenols and a hint of alcohol. Not bad.

750ML Bottle-Trade w/daknole-Hazy copper color w/amoderate white rocky head. Sweet malted aroma. Sweet malt flavor w/traces of candied sugar, yeast, dread dough, caramel & some dark fruit. Very smooth & easy to drink, alcohol was very well hidden but this brew had some kick to it. Thanks Dakine, enjoyed both of these brews immensely-Exlcamation Point

750, thanks to Ibrew2or3! Pours lightly hazy copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma of nuts and oxidized apples. Light body and medium carbonation. The taste has a character not unlike apple cider. Semi-dry finish. Nice!

Bottle from trade. Dirty caramel color with not-much-of-a white head. Aroma is pretty funky and malty, oaky and almost flemish sour aroma. Oaky, dirty, red fruit and slight alc, lots of earthy belgian yeast, a little winey as it warmed. Medium body with a little bit of carb. I am really digging this brew, like a big flemish, mixed with saison, very nice.
