22 ounce handbottle ??? from Bierkraft in NYC by way of goryskewych. Thanks George! Pours a dark hazy copper color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Tart, fruity aroma with notes of peach, plum, berries, apple, banana, spicy herbal and floral notes. Earthy with toffee malts in the finish and a bit of alcohol warmth. Taste is full of dry, tart berry notes. Almost cassis like, though I assume that is the palmetto. Also notes of apple, peach and herbal/floral notes. Dry and tart throughout. Slight alcohol warmth. Smooth, med-full bodied. Very nice beer.

On tap at Mr. Dunderbaks (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy yellow to amber with one finger foamy white head. Aroma is citrus, pepper, yeast, honey. Flavor is very light initially then some notes of pepper, yeast, honey, light citrus, funk. Light to medium body with a very dry finish. Interesting ale.

JW77 got a bottle for us. Where did he fucking buy it? New York. Here is one of FL’s best breweries and we cannot even get it down here. This is bullshit. Oh yeah and it wasn’t all that great.

Tap at Grey Lodge. Pours a lightly hazy deep copper orange with a small bubbly head. Aroma of candy sweetness, dark fruits, herbal notes and light berries. Flavor of sweet dark fruits, caramel, berries and herbal spices. Kind of reminded me of a Quad. Would age gracefully.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a medium mahogany color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of berries, floral, and spices. Tastes of the same flowers, berries, spices, and citrus. Lots of floralness and berries for sure.

Pours a hazy dark amber/coppery chestnut brown color with dark ruby hues when held to a light source and a frothy one finger beige head that fades into a lasting ring that leaves sporadic lacing. Spicy peppery aroma that is slightly floral with hints of dark fruit, hops and malt backbone. Slightly tart, medium body that’s slightly syrupy with spicy peppery notes. Pretty sweet from the addition of berries(blackberry and blueberry) with a faint floral presence from the addition of hibiscus petals. Nice balance of subtle hops and caramel malt backbone. Dry finish that’s slightly tart and puckering but not acidic.

[Draft @ Capones] Lightly hazy, mahogany color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of berries, spices, flowers, and citrus fruits. Taste of flowers, spices, dried fruits, berries, citrus, and a semi-dry finish. This was the best of the new St. Somewhere beers I had yesterday.
