Bonus bottle courtesy of gunhaver. Pours a hazy straw color with a trim white head. Smells pretty rough - almost like shoe polish. Tastes completely different, thankfully, with all of the elements of a great apple crisp - plenty of green apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and yeast. If I had another bottle of this I would actually try heating it up and throwing in a cinammon stick for a holiday brew.

bottle thanks to mar. I think I was supposed to share this one but I gave in. Pours hazy gold with thick rocky head. Aroma is fruity with some yeast, dishwater and hay. Flavor is very nice... nice fruit notes, hint of pepper that never really materializes..... smooth drinking, more multidimensional than others of its style... I enjoyed this one.

750Ml bottle, pours a slightly hazy straw gold body under a one inch fizzy white head that faded quickly. Light visible carbonation. The nose is quite spicy and interesting, seems like a lot of cinnamon, but probably that’s just the yeast, lots of grassy wheat. Only slightly "funky". Flavour was soft and creamy tasting, yet with a definite peppery carbonic bite, the beer is light and quaffable like a good Saison should be yet still has some body to it. The flavour is again quite potpourri like, with lots of floral characteristics and also has a substantial white pepper / grains of paradise note to it. This still has some sweetness to it with a slight sweet grain, floral-pale-honey flavour as well as a touch of sweet orange peel. Tasty beer from Florida!

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is lots of lemon peel with some pepper and clove. Flavor is some yeast with lots of lemon peel and again the pepper makes an appearance. Probably could use more "funk" for a saison but this was still really tasty and and something to look for.

750ml bottle. Brew pours a cloudy golden orange with a big frothy off white head that stuck around with decent lacing. Nose was lightly spiced and fruity with hints of clove, nutmeg and citrus peel. Flavor was yeasty, sweet, with a touch of spice. This brew really developed character as it sat, a great Saison.

So i scored this back in florida a few weeks ago. It didnt look like a beer from florida until i saw it on the label. It was decent. You can really go wherever you want to with a saison, and they did i guess, just in a grapy raisony, peppery kind of way. Not what i would do, but it was pretty decent.

750ml 2008 bottle bought at Pat’s Liquors in Porter, Indiana: This poured a slightly hazed yellow/gold body with a bubbly two-fingered head. It has an aroma of sweet toasted malt covered with a multitude of apices, white pepper, lemon zest, tart citrus fruit, and floral scents. Spritzy mouthfeel. All from the nose blends smoothly into the flavor and has the addition of honey and mineral water. Very dry finish. A most enjoyable beer.

2008 Vintage 750 thanks to dchmela. Pours with a glowing, hazed, sunshine golden body with a large, fluffy and long lasting head that leaves very good lacing. Aroma of honey, fennel, coriander, biscuit, pepper, must and hops. Taste is hops, earthiness, tons of malt, herbal notes, cereal, alcohol, and pepper. Slight unami note in the finish. Really pleasant to drink, but quite strong for a saison. Lively carbonation, dry mouthfeel.
